Blog of the Week: Steamy Kitchen
There are enough food blogs out there to amount to some serious brain injuries if you attempted to read even a small percentage of them all. There are only so many meals in a day, after all.
So the blogs I tend to add to my blog roll all serve a specific function. I love the healthy vegetarian fare at 101 Cookbooks. Deb over at Smitten Kitchen turns out recipes with lots of whimsy. And Jaden Hair, who runs Steamy Kitchen, provides that hard to find gem — quick, simple recipes that are just interesting enough for someone like myself not to be bored.
The recipes over at Steamy Kitchen are generally unfussy, with clear and simple instructions. Many of them are concievable for a weeknight, some even take 15 minutes or less. The site is organized beautifully too, so when you’re looking for an idea you’ll find on in a pinch. Her garlic scallion noodles are a staple in my repertoire.
